GOOD NEWS for EVERYONE...

  • Have you heard the good news that Christ died for our sins, and God raised Him from the dead? (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
  • Christ's death for our sins shows we are sinners who deserve death. Fortunately, it also shows that God loves us (John 3:16) and sent His Son to meet His righteous demands against our sin.
  • Christ's death for our sins allows God to remain just while forgiving our sins when we rely on His atonement to make us right with God (Romans 3:23-26).

Church Protector Training

Security Tactics & Firearms Handling
Saturday, January 6th, 2024 from 8am-noon

Fellowship Baptist Church in Des Moines, Iowa is partnering with Triad Security. Owner Jeremy Allen is a SWAT Officer and Firearms Instructor. Officer Allen is actively involved with the planning and execution of homeland security tactical operations and assists with the coordination and planning of events involving high-profile dignitaries, politicians, and celebrities. Officer Allen has trained thousands of civilians, law enforcement officers, and church security team members throughout the United States.

Fellowship will host a 4 hour "Security Tactics & Firearms Handling" class for Armed Protectors. This course is for anyone who currently carries a firearm or for those who are interested in learning more about how to handle a firearm in and around a crowd. This is a "dry practice" non-live fire class held inside the church and all skill levels welcome. This is for congregation members, law enforcement, family and beginners.

We will discuss realistic responses for those in church along with reducing risk through proper training. Handgun License NOT required and you do not have to be on a church security team to attend. Training guns/holsters will be provided and class size will be limited to 35 participants. If the first class fills up we will run an additional class at 1pm.
